Located 20 miles north of Charlotte, N.C., a small college town with engaged and active citizens who care deeply about their community. Home to Davidson College, with a certified arboretum and remarkable students who contribute to the life of the town. The population is approximately 11,000* with a median age of 37 and is facing an explosion of growth in young families and families with school-aged children. Incorporated in 1873, Huntersville has been one of the fastest growing communities in North Carolina over the past decade and many of Huntersville’s residents have moved here from other parts of the country. In fact, Forbes Magazine identified the Town of Huntersville ranked second in their 2009 look at America’s Best Places to Move. In 1990, 3,000 people called Huntersville home. Proximity between Charlotte and Lake Norman, lower home prices, less traffic and safe, quiet communities catapulted Huntersville's population by an amazing 1,000 percent during the past 15 years. Today, 46,773 people call Huntersville home according to the US Census.
Huntersville is home to national and internationally known companies and some of the Town’s largest employers are: SABIC Innovative Plastics, Rubbermaid, Irwin Industrial Tools, Max Daetwyler Corporation, American Tire Distributors, Inc., Presbyterian Hospital, McGuire Nuclear Station, Siegling America, Americredit, Metrolina Greenhouses and Joe Gibbs Racing to name a few. The town also boasts world-class retail stores. Birkdale Village on Sam Furr Road includes apartments and offices above boutiques, restaurants and national retailers such as Williams-Sonoma, Gap and Ann Taylor Loft. Bands play on warm weekend evenings, and area parents bring their children to splash and play in the village square fountain.

From railroad town to textile center to Race City, USA - through years of change Mooresville has kept a strong sense of its past. Founded in the 1850s, our town has preserved a number of historic buildings, especially in the downtown area. Mooresville is located in southern Iredell County in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The Town’s location between the Charlotte metropolitan area and the city of Statesville, the County seat, has created diversified employment opportunities. The Town is the municipal center of the Mooresville-South Iredell region.
The Town has experienced significant residential and commercial growth in recent years. Census figures reflect an increase of approximately 100% in the Town’s population between 1990 and 2000. The estimated population in 2011 was 33,073.
The Town’s employment base is diversified including corporate headquarters, manufacturing, medical, governmental and retail activities. Known as Race City USA, the Town attracts new and expanding investments by numerous NASCAR teams. Mooresville’s downtown area also offers a variety of goods and services including retail, governmental services and the community’s Charles Mack Citizen Center.
Mooresville is located within 15 miles of three interstate highways and is approximately 23 miles from the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. Interstate 77 passes through the Town and Interstates 40 and 85 are within a 15-minute drive
Denver, is a small incorporated southern town located at the east end of Lincoln County and on the west side of the lake. The area holds a proud place in the history of the creation of the United States of America. A number of significant Revolutionary events took place here, such as the Battle of Cowan's Ford. Located just a few miles south. Denver was also home to small-scale gold prospecting, particularly in the area near the former Triangle School and the community now known as "Westport" for a brief period during the 1890s-1910. One of Denver's major features is its "main street," which is now known as "Old Highway 16." The town has centered around the old post office and stretches north and south along highway 16, one of North Carolina's first state highways.
Denver is now largely a bedroom community for Charlotte. Present-day highway 16 is a four-lane road running through the edge of the community. The west side of the lake, which, has typically been quieter, with a "laid-back" and "easy-going" atmosphere. Even today Denver maintains the appeal of a quiet and relaxed little town, but with the widening Highway 16 from Charlotte to Hickory, development has begun to hasten. New homes and businesses are suddenly popping up throughout the area and several large development projects are underway. With a location that offers easy access to Charlotte and Hickory, yet still let's you feel away from it all with beautiful lake views and a small town atmosphere, it's no wonder that the area is predicted to grow quickly in the coming years. People are beginning to discover the charm of the "other side of the lake" and in particular, Denver.
Denver is also home to the Rock Springs Campground that has been the site of revivals and camp meetings since 1794. One of the few continuous camp meeting still occurring is that of the Rock Spring Camp Meeting in east Lincoln County, North Carolina.
